Phantom Hold

A silent call, held tethereth my fall

Rack my teeth through easy loss

Dream though she was then

Far away was the mother hen

Held on skin, cell of the clock

Grow on spite, low led rope waves

White soap, grey sky on a pinewood dock

Where slipping, my light heart lays.

Falleth thine structure von wire von mold

A haunting pale clenching saint I’m never to hold.

Congested.

A congested companion,

Swollen, unseen sorry, strange and new

Somewhen from fun it went

To the gravel roads and back

To the train rails and forward

A rolling to which they’d fatally know

Saw a haze, saw my life

Without friend

Loves for the play and such

Never meant much

But a friend just as clutched

Bare teeth and bare foot

Wisp on whim of shrunken denim red

Early to caffeine, early to bed

A warm braise on skin

The stretch on the lint

And the thought of fading

Fading friends.

Cold.

Mid-Winter Night's Dream

The dense warm pollen,
Flows forward and backward around me,
A new world, a new feel, a new emotion,
Green and gold, healthy life blooms,
Rolling through breeze, down pavement
A friend from afar compares
To the golden light
Sullen, soggy, and cold,
A briskness turned soft
A world swept aloft
A warmth.

Song Bird

A cry and a call, soft turned tall
Hollowed-out chest, heart's small nest
Echoes turn strong, won't be along
Knees and legs alike, weak wheeled bike
can't make it, road route splits
unbutton a day, heat chimes me to sway
semi-circle semi-morning, seams need warming
im not there, behind all, a held-back stall
clutch a sorry, worries hold quarry
a different way, a few-resisted path
A bless and a pray, a less-insisted epitaph
uncomfy in stock, faraway call, locked
unheard, uncarried, unmarried
locked in, and spread out thick
only hope she feels now unsick
pet and smooth, a mother from the tooth
a car, a driveway, two fists, and the floorway
Were they very different anyway?
A mistake, an angry pooled lake
Who was I today?
Who were they today?
Took it out. Took it back.
From a spout. Into plaque.
